Graphic Design : Colors
1. Color Theory
After Newton, different peoples from many fields have worked on Color Theory. therfore, it not possible to talk about only one Color Theory today.
Simply, Color Theory is about the harmony of colors and how colors should be.
2. The Traditional Color Wheel
The traditional color wheel was created by Isaac Newton. This color wheel helps us to analyze the colors.
Color Wheel has 4 qualities. These:
a. Hue:
This is basically color positionaround the weel and the brightest, punest, version of the every color.
b. Satyration (Intensity — Chroma):
This tells us how vibrant a color is. A Saturated color is vibrant and strong. A Desaturated color is near greyed and dull.
c. Value:
This tells how dark or bright a color is. We can create shade by adding black, we can create tints by adding white or we can create tone by adding gray.
d. Temperature:
The color wheel can be split into two main groups;
Warm and Cool Colors: Warm colors are basically the bright and vibrant colors. Combinations of red, orange and yellow are often considerent to give wormth. Green, blue and purple colors are considerent cool.
3. Neutral Colors
Neutral colorsare white black and gray.
4. Why Overuse Bad for Color Using ?
When you have to work with so many colors, this more hard it becomes to get them to work together. it becomes “Color Chaos”. “Less is more” rule always good for color using.
If you choice colors like that, brain can’t focus anywhere in the design and the result can be a very bad.
